Using us is extremely cost effective - from just £1 per tree!

Providing that you submit the data to us in our template spreadsheet (read below), we charge £1 per tree for a basic BS5837 plan. This includes plotting:

• Crown Spread
• RPA
• BS Category (as a colour coded dot at the centre of the tree)
• Text (Tree Number, Species and Category)
• Personalised Key (including your company details)

There is however a minimum charge of £45 (1.5 hours of our hourly rate).

Further requirements and amendments are charged as follows:

• Conversion of data into our template spreadsheet
• Basic Shadow Constraints
• Protective Fencing
• Offset RPAs
• Other amendments and revisions to the data you have sent us

These extras will be charged at an hourly rate of £30 per hour.

We can also supply full size printed paper plans if required – our plotters can produce full colour site plans up to A0 size.

Prints are charged as follows:

• A0 - £5.00
• A1 - £3.50
• A2 - £2.50
• A3 - £1.50

To make the process as efficient and cost effective as possible, we have provided a ‘standard’ spreadsheet that you can download and use for your tree surveys.

How to use the standard Excel spreadsheet:

• To plot the trees, we need all of the columns with bold headings to be complete (please feel free to customise the spreadsheet and add extra columns).
• For the ‘Stem’ column, please enter ‘1’ for single stem trees, and ‘m’ for multi-stem. In compliance with the BS, ‘m’ calculates the RPA at x10 (as opposed to x12) so should only be used when recording the main ‘trunk’ diameter, i.e. below the individual stems.  If recording an individual stem then use ‘1’.
• North/South/East/West are the crown spread measurements.
• Please use the BS standard for categories (i.e. R, A, B or C).
