The basic shadow constraint.These shapes give an approximate area of shade cast by trees in midsummer. The first shape is referred to in the British Standard, and the second, is a more realistic interpretation of this. We can add your preferred shape to your BS:5837 plan. It is quick to draw, is very affordable, and is often applied to a whole site, and then used by architects as a design tool.
